Trip Summary:

This is a unique 15-day adventure with Leila, our young Moroccan Creative Organizer, in the discovery of her country of origin with its cultural wealth and diversified landscapes. Let us mix adventure and pleasure by visiting the famous city of Marrakesh, the Sahara Desert, the coastal city of Agadir, as well as neighboring beaches and Berber villages in Southern Morocco before finishing with Casablanca.

Main Activities:

  • Discover Marrakesh, its medina, local dishes of this historical region as well as its fabulous monuments
  • Explore the Sahara Desert on camelback and learn from local nomads' lifestyles
  • Visit the city of Agadir before taking advantage of the beaches of South Morocco
  • Venture into the Berber villages of the South by taking hiking trips in this mountainous region and learning the local culture by participating in diverse activities and workshops
  • Complete your stay in Casablanca, halfway between the modern development and the Moroccan ancestral culture

Part 1: Marrakesh and the Sahara Desert

We shall begin our discovery of Morocco via Marrakesh where we'll stay for two days. Its luxurious streets, Medina, rich architecture and traditional dishes will definitely live up to its international reputation. We'll then head off to the Sahara Desert where we'll spend 2 days admiring its landscapes on camelback as we learn the local ways of the nomads.

Part 2: Agadir's Beaches and Berber Villages of Southern Morocco

We take the road Southward in order to visit the city of Agadir before arriving at the magnificent beaches of Southern Morocco. We'll be appreciating these coastal views fo 2 days before heading back towards the capital, Casablanca. We'll get 2 days in Tafraoute, a Berber village in the South (where Leila comes from) as we'll be accommodated in the mountains, completely disconnected from the modern world. We'll make some hiking trips to discover the landscapes and appreciate the local culture through diverse activities and workshops. With our contacts in this region (among others!) we'll get the chance to meet some of Leila's family and childhood friends and they'll invite us to participate in a variety of activities to learn all about their culture through.

Prices are the same no matter what country you are coming from, and discounts can be awarded for kids if applicable.

List of what is included in the price:
  • All food, without exceptions. You will have a lot of choice, for both carnivores and vegetarians.
  • All non-alcoholic drinks and of course, mineral water. Fresh fruit juices, sugar cane juices etc...
  • All the activities in the itinerary plus any activities we decide to do while on the trip (we often make last minute adjustments based on the travellers' preferences).
  • All necessary transportation.
  • The entrance tickets for all museums and archeological sites mentioned in the detailed itinerary.
  • All tips to guides, drivers, restaurants, etc...
  • Lodging for the entire trip (double occupancy).
List of what is NOT included in the price:
  • Personal medical insurance. Please make sure you have medical insurance before you fly.
  • Alcoholic beverages.
  • Souvenirs/gifts you decide to buy (obviously!).
  • Transport/lodging/food costs for days spent in the country of destination either before or after the itinerary (many travellers decide to stay a few extra days).
  • Arrival or departure visas (if applicable) at the airport.
  • The international flight, regional flights if applicable.

General Preps

Travel documents
A valid passport that expires at least 6 months after the end of the trip. A visa is often required - the traveler should contact the embassy or consulate of the destination at least 4 weeks prior to departure to get all the necessary information on the visa application process.
Luggage
The least amount of luggage possible. We recommend bags that are practical and easy to carry. One large bag and a small day back-pack is ideal.
Health
We recommend you consult your doctor a few months before leaving in order to ensure you have the necessary vaccines. Your medical insurance card might not cover costs incurred due to injuries or health costs when you are abroad. If you need to travel with medication of some kind, please bring a doctor's prescription.
Safety
We recommend you bring a conceiled belt that can hold your important documents, credit cards and currencies. It is illegal to take any objects found in archeological sites or any natural resources from any of the national parks, ecological reserves or protectorates visited.
Insurance
We recommend you buy medical, travel and cancelation insurance, which we can provide via RBC Insurance. Contact Kepri for your price quote.
